Okay, so it's a bit late for this one, but I think about it all the time anyways. Snow. We had a lot this winter. A lot of snow over a short period of time. And sure, I had some snow days where I didn't have to come into work. And still got paid. That was nice. Obviously. Who wouldn't want to get paid to sit at home doing whatever they please?
Anyways, let's say that there's snow, like the night before it snowed and covered everything in let's say about 2 inches of snow. Enough snow to cover everything in a blanket, but it's not a snow day. So you have to drive to work. And so does everyone else.
So you're getting up a little earlier than normal, get your car sitting idle in the driveway while you get ready so that it's all warm and toasty for when you're ready to go. And you've got the defroster running to get whatever ice there is melted.
Then when you're ready to go, you brush off your car. All of it. Top, front, back, sides, whatever. There's no snow on your car. And, then you get in, and you're off to go to work. Or whereever else.
And you're driving along and then all the sudden there's a huge blanket of snow coming right at your windshield because some moron driver in front of you was too inconsiderate to brush all the snow off his car. He figures that as long as he can see out of part of the windshield and part of the back window that he's covered. Sure he's covered. And so are all of the other cars behind him who get snow blown at them as he's driving 40 miles per hour down the road.
So this snow is coming at you in bricks as your driving, and you can't swerve or anything, so you're just hit with snow and are temporarily blinded. You could get into an accident, and it wouldn't be your fault, cause the stupid person in front of you caused it. However, if you were to get into an accident and the police came, I don't think you'd get away with saying, "it's not my fault, the guy in front of me threw snow at me, and I got all messed up in my driving" because by that time the moron culprit who started it all is gone.
There ought to be a law saying that you can't drive until your car is completely clear of snow. It's just inconsiderate and dangerous not to.
And that's that for cars and snow.
